Festivals and Shows

Mapland is a highly novel attraction for your Festival, Show or Event and is available for hire either independently or with one of our staff accompanying Mapland.

Mapland appeals to everyone from toddlers to Grandparents and a range of fun family-learning activities can be run on Mapland.

Activities
We have a range of family-learning activities that can be run with Mapland. Additionally, we can design bespoke educational activities for particular themes or messages. People engage with Mapland very naturally e.g. looking for their house, where they have been on holiday, where Granny lives, where they grew up, etc.

Hire Logistics
Mapland can be set up indoors (e.g. in a hall), in a marquee, or outside. For use in a marquee or outside, Mapland must be set up on grass only and with a ground sheet, matting or some other form of ground cover. It must not be laid on concrete or any other stony/rough surface. Preferably the area should be as flat as possible, although this is not critical, and slightly uneven or sloping ground is still suitable.

Pedestrian barriers are also required around the map to control access and prevent people from coming on the map with their shoes on. There must be only one point of supervised entry where users remove their shoes. Mapland must be supervised at all times.

Please note the hire prices below are for the map hire alone and do not include pedestrian barriers, marquee, ground sheeting etc - the Hirer must provide these items.Please also note, the use of Mapland outside is only available as the accompanied hire option.

Hire prices for Shows and Festivals
Accompanied hire for a 2 day event - £985 + VAT
Independent hire for a 2 day event - £585 + VAT (indoor use only)

Longer Term Exhibitions
Mapland is available for longer term indoor exhibitions at a weekly rate of £490 + VAT based on a minimum 4 week hire period. This price includes: delivery and set up of exhibit; and dismantling and collection of the exhibit at the end of the hire period.

Prices include delivery within Mainland England & Wales. For the islands, there is an additional carriage charge at cost - please contact us for details.
